Riverside and San Bernardino counties comprise what is commonly known as the Inland Empire, one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the nation. Riverside is bordered by San Bernardino County to the north, Orange County to the west, San Diego and Imperial counties to the south and the state of Arizona to the east. These are estimates of the number of people employed in certain occupations and the wages paid to them. The wage data has not been validated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and are not official BLS data series; however, EDD Labor Market Information Division feels that the additional information is useful to users of our wage data.

The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) program produces a comprehensive tabulation of employment and wage information for workers covered by California Unemployment Insurance laws. The QCEW program serves as a near census of monthly employment and quarterly wage information at the state and county levels and provides the most detailed industry data available. The QCEW data is usually published six months after the end of the quarter.
