Mono County Profile
Mono County is centrally located on the eastern side of California. Tuolumne, Mariposa, Madera and Fresno counties border to the west; Alpine County borders to the north and Inyo County to the south. The state of Nevada lies to the east. Transportation through the county is provided by an extensive road system. U.S. Highways 6 and 395 traverse in a general north-south direction, while numerous scenic byways and county roads run east-west within the county. These are estimates of the number of people employed in certain occupations and the wages paid to them. The wage data has not been validated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and are not official BLS data series; however, EDD Labor Market Information Division feels that the additional information is useful to users of our wage data.

The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) program produces a comprehensive tabulation of employment and wage information for workers covered by California Unemployment Insurance laws. The QCEW program serves as a near census of monthly employment and quarterly wage information at the state and county levels and provides the most detailed industry data available. The QCEW data is usually published six months after the end of the quarter.
