Fees: Initial license and fingerprint; $351 Biennial: $200.
Examination Frequency: National exam administered in February and August.
Exam Locations: Sacramento.
Experience Requirement: Three years approved postsecondary midwifery program. Challenge mechanism available.
Average Time to Process Application: 30-45 days.
Renewal Period: Biennially (every second year).
Special License Requirements: Certified Nurse Midwives are licensed by the Board of Registered Nurses.
