  • California Demographic Research Unit
    The Demographic Research Unit of the California Department of Finance is designated as the single official source of demographic data for state planning and budgeting. This page contains links to key demographic data from the Dept of Finance, as well as, other official sources such as the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey . Data available includes but is not limited to city and county population estimates, population projections, immigration, commuting patterns and census reports.

  • Model-based Small Area Income & Poverty Estimates (SAIPE)
    Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE) are produced for school districts, counties, and states. The main objective of this program is to provide updated estimates of income and poverty statistics for the administration of federal programs and the allocation of federal funds to local jurisdictions. Estimates for 2014 were released in December 2015.
