License Requirements, Fees, and Examination Information:
This is a less intensive option that allows the applicant to work as a limited [see Comments section] salesperson for 90 days under limited authority and closer supervision, for the purpose of allowing applicants to see if this career choice is for them.
Fees: NOTE: Fees subject to change, Application: $134. Note: To continue as a fully licensed salesperson, the 90-day certificate holder must complete any remaining salesperson’s prerequisites within 3 months of the certificate expiring. , such as paying the original salesperson fee ($219), passing a salesperson exam, and for manufactured home salespersons (not commercial modular salespersons applications), they must complete mandated Preliminary Education within the 90-day certificate period. After the expiration date of the 90 day certificate, they can still submit a salesperson's application with all other salesperson requirements, within three (3) months of the certificate's expiration date.
Verification of the applicant’s U.S. citizenship or alien status has a one-time fee of $13 for each applicant (not applicable to businesses owned under partnerships, limited liability companies, or corporations).

Average Time to Process Application: Within one week of submittal of a complete application a 90-Day certificate may be issued. Exception: If the application contains criminal history or incorrect information.
Renewal Period: The Department may, on a one-time-only basis, issue a 90-day Certificate to an applicant for an original salesperson license. A certificate holder shall be employed for not more than 90 days from the date of issuance by a licensed dealer and may, under direct supervision, induce others to buy or sell a manufactured home, mobilehome or commercial modular except as noted in the comments section.
