Experience Requirement: Graduation from a US-approved college of Osteopathic Medicine, one-year internship, and eligibility through reciprocity, or pass the National Boards; National Boards must be completed prior to applying for license.
Average Time to Process Application: up to 6 months.
Renewal Period: Biennially (every second year).
Comments: Out-of-State Licensure is for Osteopathic physicians practicing in other states but desiring to retain California licensure. Note: This is a Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirement of 150 hours over a 3-year renewal period; 60 hours must be AOA category I.
